Privacy policy
How we look after your information
Jayfix Services is a family-run plumbing and property maintenance business at 19 Leeds Place, Tamatea, Napier. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
- When you send an estimate request: your name, phone number, email address (if you give it), suburb, the type of job and what you tell us about it.
- When you call, text or email us: whatever you choose to share, such as photos of the job.
- To stop spam: a scrambled, one-way code made from your internet address. We can’t turn it back into the address, and we only use it to limit repeated form submissions.
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or social media pixels.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, give you a quote, book and carry out the work, and keep the records a trade business needs. We won’t sell your information, and we won’t use it for marketing unless you ask us to keep in touch.
Who handles it for us
- Cloudflare hosts this website. Like any web host, it processes your internet address to deliver and protect the site.
- Supabase hosts the database that stores form requests.
- Resend delivers form requests to our inbox by email.
- Google (Gmail) stores our business email.
These providers are based overseas, including in the United States, and store data outside New Zealand. We use them because they offer protections comparable to New Zealand law, and they may only use your information to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it
Website form requests are deleted from our database automatically after 24 months. Emails and job records are kept only as long as we need them for the work, warranties, tax and other legal requirements.
Keeping it safe
The site only works over an encrypted connection. Access to form requests is limited to our team, and the keys that connect our systems are stored securely by our providers, never in the website itself.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Contact Josiah Meehan at jayfixservices@gmail.com or 027 896 6013. We’ll respond within 20 working days.
If you’re not happy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and the date above.
